The Spice Lounge provides a unique blend of fine dining and friendly atmosphere. Having dined around the U.K. in a variety of ‘Indian’ restaurants, the standard and variation of food (including dishes unique to Spice lounge), make this restaurant stand out from the rest.
Issi brings his own enthusiasm for life to Spice Lounge, with a happy smile and true interest for every diner. That, along with his enthusiasm for supporting local charities, makes the dining experience here very special.
The mix of cuisine and atmosphere makes Spice Lounge a one-off. If you haven’t tried it, I’d recommend Spice Lounge to you. You will not be disappointed.

Can I just say thanks for the help you and the lads gave us when we did the Quiz and curry night.
We had some technical problems and you and the guys kept the punters at bay keeping them fed while we got our sound together.
All in all a splendid night and can’t wait to do another.

My wife and family visited your restaurant, following the demonstration we saw at the Wear Valley Food Festival, and it was superb.
The most impressive thing we noticed was how attentive and accommodating your staff is. We are not experts in Indian cuisine and your waiters helped us out in picking the right type of curries just for our needs. Even the amount of “spice” !
When the food arrived it was beautifully presented and I looked around at other diners who appeared to all be having a similar experience as us.
We had a lovely evening and hope to visit again in the not too distant future.
